Many users asked for this feature. Previously, Facebook notifications could trigger both sound and vibration together. Users could only mute both or neither. The new setting separates vibration control. People can now turn vibration off while keeping sounds on, or turn sounds off while keeping vibration on. They can also disable both.
Finding the setting is simple. Users open the Facebook app on their phone. They go to their profile menu. They select “Settings & Privacy,” then “Settings.” Next, they choose “Notifications.” Finally, they tap “Notification Settings.” The vibration controls appear under “How You Get Notifications.” Options include “On,” “Off,” or “Same as Phone.”
This change offers more personalization. Users can tailor alerts to their environment. Someone might want vibration only during meetings. Another person might prefer silent vibration alerts at night. The feature also helps users sensitive to sound or vibration.
